hi,
i can succesfully capture 8-bit imagery with ciview but i think i am missing something for 16-bit capture. all the configuration files seem to be aware that the camera is 16-bit (ok, actually it is 12-bit but the captured image would be 16-bit) if ciview cannot do it, then what is the simplest way to grab a single 16-bit frame ?
i am using a karbon card with sdk 5.2 and a sensors unlimited camera. |

CiView is strictly an 8-bit capture application. This was done in order to make the video play back as smooth as possible. CiView programs the board to downshift pixels greater than 8 bits into displayable 8-bit pixels.
You can use our sequence capture program BiFlow, if you want to capture, display, and save to disk image with greater than 8 bit pixels. |

i do not seem to have biflow on my system. according to this page:
http://www.bitflow.com/index.php/SDK
ciview is tagged with an asterisk indicating it is in the drivers only installation and biflow requires an additional purchase?
depending on how much that is it likely is not a problem except i would really like to get this done soon and the purchasing process can be excruciatingly slow this time of year. is there really no other way to grab a 16-bit frame? even a command line app would suffice. |
